The Table Top Sieve Shaker operates by giving a controlled shaking motion to a stack of test sieves. The sieve stack is clamped on the shaking platform and the motor is switched on.
The continuous shaking motion helps the sample spread evenly over the sieve surface and pass through the mesh openings. Particles smaller than the mesh opening pass through, while larger particles are retained on the sieve.
The retained material on each sieve is then weighed to determine the particle size distribution of the sample accurately and consistently.
