Accurate measurement of concrete workability by standard slump test method.
The Slump Test Apparatus works on the principle of measuring the decrease in height of a freshly mixed concrete sample when it is allowed to settle under its own weight.
The standard slump cone is placed on a smooth surface and filled with fresh concrete in three layers. Each layer is tamped evenly using the standard tamping rod.
The cone is then lifted vertically and the decrease in height of the concrete sample is measured as the slump value, which indicates the workability of the concrete mix.
